It’s been ages since I’ve posted up some thoughts and comments about club\/party nights out. The w\/end of Saturday 7th November 2009, I saw one of my fave DJs Steve Bug<\/b> from Berlin, play here twice in Sydney. <\/p>\n

From 6pm-9pm on the fantastic MV Starship boat\/ship for the AGWA Yacht Club party, cruising around beautiful Sydney Harbour. An afternoon\/evening cruise this time. <\/p>\n

Then much later, playing 2am until 4am (Sunday morning) at the newly renovated LadyLux in Kings Cross. I must say I’m impressed with all the changes at LadyLux, the new sound system is fantastic, and the place looks great, pump up the air-conditioning though!<\/p>\n

I really enjoyed the music Steve Bug<\/b> mixed up at both his performances, a nice range of styles, an energetic set of quality tech-house, deep-house, house, minimal, and (classic old) techno sounds on the boat. It’s the most energetic I’ve seen him perform\/DJ, he was really getting into it, as were the crowd, fantastic vibe.<\/p>\n

At LadyLux he played a mostly much deeper set perfect for the 2am-4am time-slot, with some moments of well placed intensity. I enjoyed this set more, and knew less of the music played. I don’t think many of the people from the boat cruise party also made it out to LadyLux, or lasted the distance to see him play again. Nice older crowd, lots of appreciation for quality music.<\/p>\n

That new Transmat release from Greg Gow<\/b> certainly gets a big reaction from a dance-floor, what a bomb! Speaking of tracks…<\/p>\n
